INCUBATION OF GSPARX SDN. BHD
As part of TNB’s drive to shift Malaysian power consumption towards renewable sources of energy, we developed and incubated GSPARX, the country’s first retail rooftop solar solution, in 2018.
IN TOTAL, GSPARX OFFERS THE FOLLOWING BENEFITS TO CONSUMERS:
➡ Zero Capital Expenditure upon purchase/leasing
➡ Immediate savings on monthly tariffs compared to the conventional grid
➡ Fixed solar tariffs throughout the agreed tenure
➡ Ability to sell excess power generated back to the grid for profit
➡ Vastly decreased carbon footprint generated
In addition to retail consumers, we successfully sold the GSPARX solution to commercial and industrial customers, securing 26MW of installed capacity within a year of the venture’s formation. GSPARX has since been transferred to TNB’s retail department for further development.
